Raiders knock off Jordan Leaf three times, beat Packers for first time since 1987

Robert Spillane intercepted Green Bay's Jordan Love twice, Amik Robertson completed a game-winning pick in the end zone and the Las Vegas Raiders halted a three-game losing streak with a 17-13 victory over the Packers on Monday night.

The Raiders' offense did just enough as Jimmy Garoppolo completed 22 of 31 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown, but threw his NFL-high seventh interception. Jakobi Meyers caught seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Leaf was 16-of-30 passing for 182 yards and three sacks.

Both offenses struggled. The Raiders (2-3) gained 279 yards and the Packers (2-3) gained 285.

Vegas ended an eight-game losing streak to the Packers. The last time the Raiders beat Green Bay was in 1987 in Los Angeles.


The Raiders took a 10-3 lead into halftime on Garoppolo's 9-yard touchdown pass to Meyers. A second-quarter interception by linebacker Spillane gave the Raiders the ball at the Green Bay 7. Las Vegas had a chance to take a bigger lead, but it ended with a short field goal.

This kind of start is nothing new for the Packers, who have scored six points in the first half in their last three games. Two weeks ago, they beat the New Orleans Saints 17-0 at halftime; last week, they beat the Detroit Lions 17-7 in the second half, but still lost by two touchdowns.

The Packers started the second half with an interception of Garoppolo by Rudy Ford. AJ Dillon followed with a 5-yard touchdown run to tie the game.

Late in the third quarter, Green Bay failed to capitalize on a short passing opportunity. Lefebvre found Christian Watson, who didn't have a defender within about 10 yards of him. But Green Bay had to settle for a field goal to take a 13-10 lead.

The lead didn't last long. Josh Jacobs' two-yard touchdown run to open the fourth quarter put Las Vegas back in the lead.
